1. Data Controller
This Candidate Privacy Notice has been prepared regarding the processing of personal data belonging to candidates within the scope of job, internship, consultancy, project-based assignment, talent pool, and similar applications submitted to Kaya Development.
Your personal data is processed by Kaya Development / Kaya Gelişim ve Proje Danışmanlığı Limited Şirketi, acting as the data controller, within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 and the relevant legislation.

The following personal data may be processed during the application process:
Identity information: information shared in your application, such as name, surname, and date of birth

Education information: school, department, degree, graduation status, certificates, and educational background
Professional information: work experience, previous positions, organizations worked for, areas of expertise, and references
CV and portfolio information: curriculum vitae, motivation letter, LinkedIn profile, project/report/work samples
Competency information: language skills, technical skills, software knowledge, project management and consultancy experience
Application process information: position applied for, evaluation notes, interview information, candidate suitability assessment
Other information voluntarily shared by you
Kaya Development does not request candidates to share special categories of personal data. Therefore, candidates are advised not to share health information, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union membership, criminal conviction information, biometric data, or similar special categories of personal data during the application process.
3. Purposes of Processing Personal Data
Your personal data may be processed for the following purposes:

Assessing the compatibility of your candidate profile with the role, consultancy assignment, or project-based opportunity you applied for

4. Method of Collecting Personal Data
Your personal data may be collected through the following methods:

5. Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data
Your personal data is processed within the scope of the relevant processing conditions set out under Law No. 6698. Under the Personal Data Protection Law, personal data processing conditions are limited, and it should first be assessed whether the processing activity is based on one of the legal grounds other than explicit consent.
In this context, your candidate data may be processed based on the following legal grounds:

Being directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract

Being necessary for the legitimate interests of Kaya Development

Fulfilling legal obligations

Establishing, exercising, or protecting a right

Obtaining your explicit consent where necessary
For the retention of your application under the talent pool for a period of one year and its evaluation for suitable future opportunities, your explicit consent may also be obtained.
6. Transfer of Personal Data
Your personal data may be shared with the following persons and institutions, limited to the purposes stated above:

Authorized managers, human resources, project management, and relevant evaluation teams of Kaya Development

Your personal data will be shared only to the extent necessary and in accordance with data security and confidentiality principles.
If personal data is to be transferred abroad, such transfer will only be carried out in accordance with the conditions set out under the relevant legislation and after completing the necessary notification/permission processes.
7. Retention Period
Personal data shared within the scope of your application may be stored in Kaya Development’s recruitment database and electronic record systems for a period of one year from the date of application.
During this period, Kaya Development may contact you if your profile is considered suitable for current or future project-based consultancy, employment, internship, talent pool, or cooperation opportunities.
At the end of the one-year period, your personal data may be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized unless there is another legal reason requiring its retention. KVKK regulations require that processes related to the deletion, destruction, or anonymization of personal data be explained in the data controller’s policies and procedures.
8. Rights of Candidates
Regarding your personal data, you may apply to Kaya Development under Law No. 6698 and exercise the following rights:

To request information if your personal data has been processed

To learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether it has been used in accordance with that purpose

To know the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred

9. Information Regarding the Application Process
This application may be evaluated within the scope of Kaya Development’s current or future project-based needs, consultancy opportunities, internship programs, cooperation opportunities, and talent pool activities.
Submitting an application does not automatically grant the candidate any right to employment, consultancy assignment, contractual relationship, or project-based assignment. Kaya Development may contact the candidate if the candidate’s profile is compatible with current or future needs.
Kaya Development does not request any payment from candidates for application, interview, talent pool registration, recruitment, consultancy opportunities, or employment purposes.
