About the Role
This is a contract-based remote role for a Junior Consultant – Project Management Talent Pool Application at Kaya Development.
In this position, the Junior Consultant will support project coordination, research, reporting, and analysis across current and future consultancy assignments. Daily tasks may include assisting with project planning, tracking deliverables, preparing meeting notes and reports, supporting stakeholder communication, conducting desk research, contributing to proposal or strategy development, and helping ensure that project activities are delivered on time and in line with client expectations.
The role is suitable for early-career professionals who are interested in gaining experience in project management, consultancy, development projects, research, and institutional support services within a growing international consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support project planning, coordination, and follow-up activities
Assist in preparing reports, concept notes, presentations, meeting minutes, and project documents
Conduct desk research, stakeholder mapping, and basic data analysis
Support communication with clients, partners, consultants, and project stakeholders
Track project deliverables, timelines, and action points
Contribute to proposal development, strategic planning, and institutional consultancy assignments
Support monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and learning-related tasks when required
Contribute to the smooth delivery of project-based assignments in line with client expectations
Preferred Candidate Profile
Kaya Development is looking for candidates who are curious, reliable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn in a fast-paced consultancy environment. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working remotely, following deadlines, communicating professionally, and supporting multiple project tasks at the same time.
Candidates with an interest in international development, project management, public sector reform, institutional capacity building, humanitarian and development programming, monitoring and evaluation, or private sector engagement are strongly encouraged to apply.
Languages and Technical Skills
Excellent command of English is strongly preferred
Knowledge of Turkish is preferred
Knowledge of Spanish, German, French, or Italian is an asset
Good command of Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Familiarity with online collaboration tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Trello, Notion, or similar platforms is an advantage
Basic knowledge of data visualization, monitoring tools, or AI-supported productivity tools is a plus
Work Authorization, Visa, Tax, and Insurance Responsibilities
Kaya Development’s consultancy assignments may be carried out remotely or in connection with projects implemented in Türkiye, Europe, or other locations, depending on project needs and client requirements.
Candidates are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary legal right to work, provide services, or undertake consultancy assignments in the country where the assignment is performed or legally associated. These requirements may vary depending on the project location, assignment type, contract modality, and applicable local regulations.
Kaya Development does not provide visa sponsorship, work permit sponsorship, relocation sponsorship, or immigration-related sponsorship for this Talent Pool or for project-based consultancy assignments, unless otherwise explicitly stated in a specific future vacancy announcement or contract.
For independent consultancy, freelance, or service-based contracts, selected consultants are responsible for fulfilling their own tax, social security, insurance, invoicing, and other statutory obligations in their country of residence, tax residency, or the country where services are legally provided, unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly agreed in the contract.
The final contract type, assignment conditions, payment terms, and legal requirements will be determined separately for each project-based opportunity.

Requirements
Strong research and analytical skills for data collection, market analysis, and problem-solving
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft professional reports, briefs, and presentations
Basic understanding of project coordination, planning, task follow-up, and working within deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively in team-based projects in a remote environment
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
Interest in international development, project management, institutional consultancy, and global cooperation
Familiarity with consultancy practices, project cycle management, stakeholder engagement, or client relationship management is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Economics, International Relations, Development Studies, Engineering, Social Sciences, or a related field is preferred
Prior experience in consulting, project support, research, reporting, or similar roles is advantageous but not required
